Thug pulls knife on security guard in building site burglary

A thug pulled a knife on a security guard who confronted him during a building site burglary. At 5.30am on Tuesday, November 16 two unknown men entered a housing construction site on West Street in Crewe. They searched the site, but were then spotted by a security guard who shouted them.

For the latest crime news One of the men then pointed a large knife at the security guard, before they both fled on foot empty-handed. The pair are described as white, in their early 20s, of medium build and around 5ft 6in tall.

Both men were wearing dark clothing. Cheshire Police say their investigation is ongoing and want to hear from anyone with information or CCTV/dashcam footage. PC Ben Shipley said: “This investigation is ongoing and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.

“This building site is located on West Street, one of the main roads into Crewe town centre, and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or anyone with any CCTV footage which may aid our investigation. “The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage. I would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to get in touch.”
