Search for intruder who brandished knife at security guard in Crewe burglary

An intruder brandished a knife at a security guard during a burglary in Crewe, leading to a Cheshire Police appeal for information. A security guard at a housing construction site on West Street spotted two men on the site on Tuesday (November 16) and shouted at them. One of the men pointed a ‘large’ knife at the security guard before they both ran off, empty-handed.

Read more of the top stories from across Cheshire here. The men were wearing dark clothing and are described as in their early 20s, medium build and around 5′ 6″ tall. Cheshire police is keen to hear from anyone with any information to contact them.

PC Ben Shipley said: “This investigation is ongoing and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry. “This building site is located on West Street, one of the main roads into Crewe town centre, and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or anyone with any CCTV footage which may aid our investigation. “The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage.

I would urge anyone, with any information, no matter how small, to get in touch.”
