James Miller, 56, of Newport was recorded on a surveillance camera removing approximately 28 used rotors from behind Millerstown Motors in the first block of N. Market St., placing them in the bed of a 2004 Ford F-250 and leaving the scene at 5 a.m., July 7.

He was charged with theft.

An eastbound vehicle struck a stone mailbox column on July 16 and fled the scene in the 2700 block of Pleasant Valley Road, Saville Twp.

Roger Maxwell, 50, of Newport, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, was stopped by state police at 10:13 p.m., July 22, at Hickory Ridge and Newport roads in Miller Twp. He was suspected of DUI and was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Robert Minter, 39, of East Waterford struck an embankment with his 2004 Ford at 3:46 p.m., July 25, in the 400 block of Linton Hill Road, Wheatfield Twp. He was taken to the state police state after being suspected of DUI.

A 40-year-old Duncannon man, driving a 2005 Honda Accord, was stopped by state police at 12:13 a.m., July 29, at Church and W.

McClure streets in New Bloomfield. He was arrested for DUI and was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

A driver was arrested by state police for DUI and drug violations on Morgan Street, Penn Twp., at 4:46 p.m., July 30. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for drug violations.

A dog belonging to a Newport woman, 55, reportedly bit a Newport man at 7:34 p.m., Aug.

A Newport women reported misplacing a black, patent leather (alligator skin pattern) wallet, valued at £10, in the first block of S. Main Street, Penn Twp., at 1:30 p.m., Aug.

Zakary Range, 24, of Thompsontown was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue when he was stopped for traffic violations by state police at 2:43 a.m., Aug.

6, at Susquehanna Trail and Old Trail Road in Watts Twp. He was taken to the state police station for processing after being suspected of DUI.

Two internet routers, each valued at £200, were reported stolen from a front porch in New Bloomfield on Aug.

Ethan Young, 29, of Brazil, Ind., driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, was stopped by state police at 5:09 a.m., Aug.

7, for traffic violations at Route 322 East and Hagy Lane in Middle Paxton Twp., Dauphin County. He was taken to the Dauphin County booking center for processing after being suspected of DUI.

A Muncy man reported the loss of a rooftop cargo carrier and its contents in the vicinity of Susquenia School District, 1500 block of State Road in Penn Twp., at 5:30 a.m., Aug.

A 28-year-old Mifflintown woman was charged through district court with harassment following a physical altercation with a Duncannon man at 9:21 p.m., Aug.

The front, driver’s side window on a Duncannon woman’s 2011 Nissan Sentra was shattered between Aug.

18 and 30 on N. Market Street.

Joseph Sobolewski, 38, of Duncannon was placed in Perry County Prison after failing to post £50,000 bail on a retail theft charge.

Sobolewski and a female entered a store in the 3200 block of Susquehanna Trail in Watts Twp. on Aug.

23 at 6:08 p.m. He allegedly failed to pay for a 20-ounce Mountain Dew, valued at £2.79. He and the female fled the scene in an orange 2006 Chevrolet HHR.

A 19-year-old Duncannon man, driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra, was stopped by state police for speeding at 1:44 a.m., Aug.

25, on State Road, Penn Twp. He was arrested for DUI and was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

State police found a 36-year-old Newport man to be driving under the influence of drugs and in possession of drug paraphernalia in a 2012 Jeep Patriot at W. Juniata Parkway and Red Hill Road, Howe Twp., at 3:23 p.m., Aug.

A 55-year-old Newport man, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was stopped by state police at 8:56 p.m., Aug.

26, at Red Hill and Church roads in Howe Twp. Pending toxicology results, he’s facing DUI charges.

A 37-year-old Newport man was sitting inside a parked 2007 Chrysler 300 at a closed business at 2:12 a.m., Aug.

28, in the 2400 block of Shermans Valley Road, Spring Twp. State police said he was in possession of suspected drugs and paraphernalia and had an active warrant out of the Perry County Sheriff’s office.

He was placed in Perry County Prison.

A 40-year-old Harrisburg man and a 33-year-old Mechanicsburg woman both were cited for harassment following an incident at 3:18 a.m., Aug.

28, on Susquehanna Trail, Watts Twp.

A 56-year-old Newport man driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra was stopped by state police for an equipment violation at 1:19 a.m., Aug.

29, at Market and N. Third streets, Newport. After showing signs of impairment, he was transported to the state police station for a chemical test of his blood.

A 19-year-old Carroll Twp. women was found by state police to be possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at 9:32 p.m., Aug.

29, on Valley Road.

A 41-year-old Landisburg woman in a 2019 Toyota RAV4 was arrested by state police for DUI and found to be in possession of drugs and parphernalia at 8:25 p.m., Aug.

Jody Smith, 49, of Blain was traveling west on Big Spring Road in Jackson Twp. when her 2015 Jeep Cherokee struck a guardrail at 2:45 p.m., Sept.

3, at Hickory Farm Lane.

Smith was not using a seat belt and had minor injuries. She was cited for careless driving.

The Jeep was towed by J.T.

Tyler Otstott, 25, of Marysville was traveling west on Ridgeview Drive in Marysville when his 2019 Jeep Renegade struck a 1999 Buick Century at the intersection with Route 11/15 at 2:31 p.m., Sept.

5.

Otstott was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was cited for vehicle turning left.

The other driver, who was using a seat belt, had minor injuries and was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital by East Pennsboro EMS.

Marysville Fire Company and Edkin’s Towing assisted at the scene.
