Westquay security guard 'robbed in car park'

A SHOPPING centre security guard has been robbed in a Southampton[1] car park, police say. Officers say man, who works as a security guard at Westquay, was attacked at the shopping centre’s Podium car park on Harbour Parade today. Police say a mobile phone and personal items were stolen in the incident.

The incident is said to have take place around 1pm. A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We were called just after 1pm today to a report of a robbery in the Westquay Podium car park on Harbour Parade. “The victim, a security guard at Westquay, received minor injuries and personal items, including a mobile phone, were stolen.”

Police are yet to release any further details.
