Heightened security as police begin patrolling The Grove

Motorcycle police have been spotted patrolling near The Grove[1] as the NATO summits draws ever closer. World leaders will be attending the five-star hotel on Wednesday for the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. They include US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

At the end of last week, metal fencing was erected along Langleybury Lane, protected by large concrete blocks. Barriers have also been put in place in Langleybury Lane and Grove Mill Lane.

On Saturday, thousands of people spotted helicopters over Watford and Three Rivers district, seemingly bound for The Grove.
