Tesco security guard is threatened with a hammer by two masked men

Police are investigating a robbery after two men in masks approached a security officer and demanded cash. The incident happened in the car park of the Tesco Extra store on Ashgate Road, Hucknall[1] , at around 9.40am yesterday (October 10). Two offenders wearing face coverings approached the security officer and threatened him with a hammer, demanding and being given cash.

They fled the scene in a stolen vehicle which was later found abandoned nearby.

The security man wasn’t injured.

Detective Inspector Gayle Hart, of Nottinghamshire Police[2] , said: “We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry, including checking for any CCTV opportunities, and we’re urging anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 206 of 10 October 2019.”
