A New South Wales house party turned violent when armed thugs gatecrashed, stabbing two men and glassing another.

The end-of-high-school celebration in Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast was interrupted by three uninvited teenagers, who started an argument on the front driveway at 8pm on Friday.

Sam, the teenager who organised the party, approached one of the hooded men, before being struck in the head by another man with a glass bottle.

Minutes later, Sam’s stepfather Mick was stabbed in the abdomen by the group, along with another teenager, Matt Clayton, who was stabbed in the ribs while trying to stop the offenders from entering the event.

Three security guards had been hired by Sam’s family before the event, and despite their presence, Sam told the Daily Telegraph[1] that the scene got out of hand very quickly.

‘It just escalated ridiculously,’ Sam said. ‘They were kicking girls.

They had no respect.’

‘My step-dad got stabbed, one of my good mates got stabbed as well, I got glassed, and it was mayhem on the driveway out the front.’

Both victims are in a stable condition in hospital, with Mick being airlifted to St John’s Hospital in Newcastle, while Matt was taken to Gosford Hospital.

Party goers were able to record the gatecrashers’ car registration, leading to three teenagers being arrested by police in their vehicle near the house.

The teenagers are assisting police with their investigation, and their car will be forensically examined.

No charges have been laid.
